For children under 3 years old, a first visit orientation helps them get used to their dental environment and prepares them for their first dental cleaning.
Orchid Dental Care's dental hygiene services includes a routine gum checkup to measure your bone support, gum attachment levels( gingival recession) and tooth mobility along with an oral cancer screening.
Your dental cleaning can have the option of a numbing gel if you have sensitivity, tooth polishing with options of fluoride free paste, dental sealants to protect the deep grooves of your molars, denture cleaning in an ultrasonic bath and take home whitening kits to brighten your smile from the stains that accumulate from the foods and drinks we consume everyday.

To make your first dental appointment as stress-free as possible, an online health intake form will be emailed to you so that you have the time to fill it out at home at your own pace so that it doesn't take time away from your reserved appointment.

My name is Joanne Shiaman and I have been providing Dental Hygiene Services for over 25 years in private practice both in general dentistry and periodontics. Since moving to the Westport area, I felt ready to move ahead with my dream of opening up my independent Dental Hygiene Clinic to help serve my community. I take the time to listen to your dental concerns and provide a customized approach to your appointment.
